Wrapping Up the Month
Last week, the OneBill team hosted the project’s April Advisory Council meetings. Attendees included campus stakeholders, students, and families. Read below for a brief recap of what was discussed and showcased!
A Dynamic Resource Hub
In February, Advisory Council members provided the OneBill team with their website must-haves and wish list items. Fast forward to April, and they were able to see these in action during a guided website tour.
The project website aims to be an adaptive, all-encompassing source of knowledge, and attendees were encouraged to continue sending feedback through the Contact Us form.
Brainstorming the New BruinBill Account Names
Currently, student billing is separated into the following accounts:
- Registration Fees & Campus Charges
- Housing
- Summer Sessions
- Transportation (paid outside BruinBill)
To help make the financial experience simple and intuitive, OneBill is consolidating Registration Fees & Campus Charges, Housing, and Transportation. Fees associated with Summer Sessions will remain in the Summer Sessions account.
This change means new account names are needed! After seeing a BruinBill demonstration, members of the Advisory Councils participated in a robust discussion and voted for their top name choices – the winners will be announced soon.
Project Progress
The OneBill Initiative is scheduled to have three testing phases, and Phase Two is currently underway. The team’s project manager ran through each phase’s expectations and provided attendees with a general timeline.
Housing also outlined their upcoming communications, further building on the OneBill benefits that kicked off with the release of returning undergraduate student Housing offers.
